25/11/11 End of Claudia Aurora’s tour at the Folk House Bristol

Where it all started, in a packed hall, we finished the November tour with Claudia Aurora presenting the new album. A great month of concerts ended with an standing ovation from the Bristol audience. Review here.

08/10/11 New Fado Album “Silencio”

The new Fado album by Claudia Aurora, co-composed by Javier will be released on the 31st October. Meanwhile you can download the song “Cigana” for free here.

11/09/11 Flamenco trio

A great flamenco show happened this weekend at Pradera restaurant in Horsney. A full and intimate venue where the audience was able to enjoy some Spanish tapas and see a close up performance of possibly the best flamenco trio in London at the moment: Jorge Muelas as a dancer, Andres Garcia as guitarist and Javier as singer. Next show on the 25th September.

New dates announced at the tropical Trader Vics bar in London Hilton, a pleasure for the senses, music and cocktails.

01/08/11 The Rylston in Fulham, London

A new and exciting pub opened in Fulham last weekend. Javier didn’t fail to deliver an extraordinary opening party with his music, getting the audience up and dancing and asking for multiple encores. A newly refurbished venue with high standards, serving delicious wood oven fire pizzas and offering a great atmosphere to enjoy a drink. Worth a visit.

Of course, by popular demand, Javier will be performing there again on the 20th August and 10th September.

18/07/11 Another great busy weekend

A fantastic weekend of music: a beautiful wedding at the stunning Leez Priory in Essex (thanks Kate and Nick), 10th anniversary of Bluebirds Nursing homes (thanks Zita), and 2 great events in Cheltenham the World Dance Charity festival by Salsa del Sol (thanks Thomas and The Brewery) and another amazing night at Monty’s cocktail bar, thanks to all!.

29/06/11 Cruise around Spain and Portugal on board the luxury yacht “The World”

Javier will spend 2 weeks performing at the luxury cruise ship, as a special guest. “The World” is technically the largest privately owned yacht on the planet, by ResidenSea.

15/06/11 New Fado album

Javier will go into the studio in July to record a new album with Portuguese Fado singer Claudia Aurora. It will be internationally distributed by prestigious label World Village (Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés).

08/06/11 World Donor Day Event 14th June

Javier will be part of the NHS event at the gardens of College Green in central Bristol on the afternoon of 14th June, performing as a duo, from 12am.

18/05/11 Corporate event at Riverstation restaurant

Javier was part of a wonderful event at the fantastic restaurant in Bristol, with views and terrace over the canals in the Bristol riverside. Nothing better than Spanish music with a “fiesta” atmosphere, all perfectly coordinated by aceventsolutions.

03/05/11 “I love to play in farm houses”

After a fantastic bank holiday, two private gigs to remember, in beautiful farm houses in the Somerset and Devon countryside. Here I quote the warm thank you from Gemma after a birthday surprise party for her husband: “You were fantastic! Everyone commented on how marvellous the music was - it made the evening very especial”.

21/04/11 Music in Hospitals

We spent a beautiful sunny day playing for 3 different nursery and elderly centers. The multiple sclerosis patients in Northampton Cynthia Spencer Hospice, BUPA acacia nursing home at Wellinborough, and special mention to the Wellinborough Afro-Caribbean association, where we ended playing and dancing to the music of Bob Marley. Very emotional.

09/04/11 Salsa Party at Apres Bar, Cheltenham

Fado singer Claudia Aurora performance (with Javier on guitar) at the QEH will be partially retransmitted by Lucy Duran’s World Routes (BBC radio 3) on Saturday 2nd April 15.00h.

What a lovely evening at the beautiful St. Patrick Church in Redfield, Bristol. Thanks very much to everyone who attended the concert, surely one to remember.

Another extraordinary Fado evening to take place on the 12th of March, sharing the famous concert stage with Algerian singer Nassima.
